Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has been deemed doubtful for Sunday’s Premier League clash against Manchester City.
The Brazil international has been a mainstay in the starting XI for United, but he has not featured for them since the international break.
Casemiro was rested for the Sheffield United clash last weekend after twisting his ankle on international duty with the Selecao this month.
He missed the subsequent Champions League game against Copenhagen as he was suspended for his sending off versus Galatasaray at home.
Erik ten Hag has now revealed that Casemiro remains doubtful for the Manchester derby and he is not 100 per cent fit at the moment.
The former Real Madrid star seems likely to start on the bench on Sunday. Sofyan Amrabat could line up from the number six position.
Instead of Scott McTominay, we could see Christian Eriksen alongside Amrabat after his man of the match performance in midweek.
Eriksen came off the bench at the half-time interval against Copenhagen and he made the difference with the match winning assist.
