Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has heaped praise on Scott McTominay following his match-winning header against Aston Villa in the Premier League.
The Red Devils played a hard-fought game at Villa Park earlier today. They raced into a 1-0 lead in the first half after Rasmus Hojlund scored for a fifth straight league appearance.
Villa came back as the stronger side in the second half and deservedly got level through Douglas Luiz. They looked good value to find the winner before McTominay won it for United.
The Scot has had the habit of scoring winning goals off the bench this term and he replicated the feat in the 85th minute, rising highest to score from a brilliant Diogo Dalot cross.
Speaking after the game, Ten Hag was delighted for McTominay, he said: “Scott [McTominay] is great. He can score many goals. He’s always coming into positions to score goals. We knew Scott would get into the box and can score goals.”
